Download & Install MovAlyzeR
MovAlyzeR
is a general purpose movement analysis system for handwriting
and drawing movements using a pen (on a tablet or digitizer)
and for bimanual force coordination using the gripper.

You can
download the installation file from this page to use as
a trial version or purchased version, depending on the activation
code requested.

Requirements
System:
MSWindows95/NT4 or later and 30MB of free space.
NOTE:
Before installing the file, please make sure that you want
to install the software on this computer, as once installed,
it cannot be moved to another computer without a new activation
code.
User
Privileges: Administrative privileges are required
to install/uninstall the application, define new users,
or to work with the example experiments. Alternatively,
an administrator can install the application in an accessible/shared/writeable
location.
Activation
code: You will be required to enter an activation
code:
* For
your first installation of the MovAlyzeR trial version.
* Everytime you install a newer version (trial or purchased).
* When you extend the
trial version by using the option 'Reset trial expiration'.
* When you make a new
purchase of MovAlyzeR or suite items.
Please
refer the next section for detailed description. Activation
codes will be issued immediately during the normal working
hours (9am-5pm MST).

Version

Download installation file from downloads
section on this page by entering the ID and password
provided. Note: You can use the same ID and password for
future downloads of installation files.
*
Uninstall any old MovAlyzeR programs.
* Install
the application by running (double-click) the downloaded
file.
* The
program will automatically prompt by asking whether you
want to unlock the software. Click ok and at activation
window, make
a note of the Authorization Request Code. Click 'cancel'
to close the window.
*
Email
NeuroScript at sales@neuroscriptsoftware.com
and provide the Authorization Request Code. You will receive
the Activation Code for the trial version.
*
Once you
receive the activation code, open the MovAlyzeR application.
(Double click the MovAlyzeR icon on your desktop). You will
asked whether you want to unlock the application, click
ok and enter the activation code provided. Click ok to start
MovAlyzeR for the first time.
*
The program
will be active for 30 days after you download it. After
30 days you will be automatically prompted to indicate that
your version expires and to purchase MovAlyzeR or suite
items.
* Use
the Help files in the Application Help using F-1 key or
online help for the documentation.
When you create a new user, make a note of the user root
data path on your computer where all the user data and experiment
files are stored, for future reference.

Extend
Trial Version
* Make
a backup of your user folders, if required. (The root data
path for a user is by default: C:\program files\neuroscript\movalyzer\<3
letter user ID>).
Note:
A new installation of the MovAlyzeR will not overwrite
the user data. However, don't store any valuable data
in the Examples folder of MovALyzeR program as this will
be updated.
* (a)
If your version is about to expire and you are able to open
the application, open MovAlyzeR trial version software,
go to help on your application toolbar and choose 'Activate
Suite items'.
OR (b)
If the trial version has already expired, you will be automatically
prompted to 'Activate suite items' when you start the MovAlyzeR
program.
* Select
the option 'Reset trial expiration' and click 'purchase'.
*Click
ok to display activation window. Make a note of the Authorization
Request Code. Exit by hitting cancel.
* Email

Code to obtain a Activation Code for the extension.
* Start
MovAlyzeR. Go to back to the activation window as in first
step (a) or (b), enter the activation code provided, in
the activation window. MovAlyzeR is now ready for use again!
* Note:
The trial period will NOT be reset after a new version is
downloaded. That is, if you download a new version you will
still have the same trial period left as before. You will
need a new activation code to extend the trial period, which
is different than the code required for installing/unlocking
a new version.

* Make

You will receive the activation code after payment has been
received.
* Start
MovAlyzeR. Go back to the activation window, as in first
step of this section. Activate by entering the activation
code provided in the activation window. MovAlyzeR and suite
items are now ready for use!!!
* Use
the Help files in the application Help using F-1 key or
online help for the documentation.

New
Releases/Updates
* Neuroscript
periodically releases new versions of the software. New
release and update announcement will be made on the main
page.
* To
update your software with a newer version, the installation
procedure is the same as described in the previous sections.
* Your
data will not be overwritten while installing the newer
version. However, we recommend that you backup valuable
data in a removable or local disk. MovAlyzeR prompts you
to backup your data everytime you exit the program. If
you backup the data, it will be stored in the backup root
path folder specified for the user, during setup.
* In
the case of a trial version, the trial period will not
be reset for a newer version.
* After
you open the application, in some updates, there might
be a database conversion for the experiment files with
a message "Do you wish to perform database conversion?".
If you encounter this, click yes to backup existing data
and open the user experiments. This is required to accomodate
any newer features available in the update. Your previously
collected data will not be altered.

Installation
File Downloads
Notes:
If you
are experiencing problems with opening of the .msi file,
make sure that your computer has the MS Installer program
that comes with IE 5.0 or higher. If not, download as instructed
on this page. Run the setup.exe
file first and then the MovAlyzeR.msi file.
If
problem still exists, an alternative is to download the
file (setup.exe)
for the installation. The .exe file is bigger in size than
the .msi file, but does not require the MS Installer.

us and quote the first error message observed.

To
Uninstall
To uninstall
the program, run the saved installation file and remove.
OR
Go to
Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > List > Select
MovAlyzeR > Remove > Follow the instructions. Verify
that the program MovAlyzeR does not appear in the list.
NOTE:
If you uninstall MovAlyzeR and then reinstall in the same
computer, you can unlock the software by using the same
activation code. For the trial version, the activation code
expires after 10 days.
