Wacom tablets and inking pens http://www.neuroscript.net/wacomtablets.php

NeuroScript's software works with any Wintab compliant digitizer or mouse (www.movalyzer.com)

Important features for handwriting movement recording are:
o Size of active area (8" x 6 " or larger) and how thin is the tablet
o Spatial resolution (2000 lpi or better) and accuracy (0.01 cm RMS)
o Sampling rate and its constancy (125 Hz or larger)
o Max height of the pen before sampling stops (0.7 cm or larger)
o Transparent cover sheet present.

DECIDING POINTS
o Wacom digitizers show superior data for handwriting movement and drawing data recording.
o Wacom Bamboo is the lowest cost line and offers the basics which is sufficient for our purpose.
o Wacom Intuos4 is the professional series and offers sizes larger than 6x8, greater resolution, more pen pressure levels, higher sampling rate, pen tilt options, higher proximity range, less sensitivity for interference from monitors and other electrical equipment.
o Wacom Cintiq 21UX offers digitizer and display integrated

NOTE 1: All Wacom tablets come with non-inking Grip Pen and mouse.
NOTE 2: Ink Pens can be ordered for each Wacom tablet (See Accessories). They come with ball-point ink refills. The Ink Pens are thinner.
NOTE 3: The non-inking Grip Pen has a barrel button. Each time the barrel button is pressed an extra sample is generated. You could remove the barrel button to prevent this. The inking pens do not have a barrel button.
NOTE 4: All digitizers are connected and powered via the USB port. Some offer blue-tooth connectivity.
