New Techniques for Establishing the Science of Handwriting Identification

With computer software for handwriting, including the CEDAR project, Lumen’s Script IQ, the Wacom Tablet and Neuroscript’s Movalyzer software, FDEs have valuable tools to accurately observe handwriting, document their findings and present them to the court in an objective manner.
While some of these programs or studies are still in the experimental stages, it is not too early to become familiar with the potential applications to forensic handwriting identification.
