    Install NI-DAQpad Driver software for GripAlyzeR

    GripAlyzeR is an additional feature that can be enabled in the MovAlyzeR suite. It was designed to analyze bimanual force coordination.
    GripAlyzeR records 3 force signals from the external analogue-to-digital converter by National Instruments.

    GripAlyzeR has been tested with: NI Traditional DAQ (Legacy) 6.9.2 (490 MB) MS Windows 2000 / 95 / XP / ME / NT / 98.

    Notes on Alternative Drivers

    DRIVER INSTALL

    (1) BEFORE connecting the DAQPad, install from the CD with the DAQPad,
    or download driver from ni.com >support >Select DAQ (300 Mb).

    (2) If you connected before installing, MSWindows tries to install a default driver. the green light will be blinking. In that case REINSTALL the driver:

    (3) Control Panel >System >Hardware >Device manager >Properties >Find the Data Acquisition >Check you see DAQpad. If it has the yellow exclamation: Click Properties >Reinstall driver

    (4) Connect the DAQPad. The green light should stay on solid.

    DRIVER SETUP

    (5) Start >Program Files >National Instruments >Measurement & Automation eXplorer (NI-MAX).

    (6) Go to MySystem >Devices & Interfaces

    (7) Verify that the DAQpad 6020E is listed under and if not, try rerunning NI Measurement & Automation, or pressing Refresh (F5).

    (8) Verify that it shows the DAQPad as Device Number 1. If not, right click on the device listed > Properties > System tab >Set Device number = 1

    (9) Verify under >AI tab >Mode=Non-referenced Single Ended (default is differential).

    GRIPALYZER SETUP
    (if needed)

    o Start MovAlyzeR/GripAlyzeR

    o Select DAQPad (View >Toolbars >Device Bar should be enabled)

    o Settings >DAQPad

    You will need to select to which of the 3 DAQPad channels your signals are connected to.

    CONNECT DAQPAD

    (10) Connect the DAQpad Interface provided with the device and the upper and lower gripper to the connector pins on the interface.

    (11) Use a 12 V, - to + AC/DC power supplied for both the NIDAQpad and the interface circuit.

    (12) Switch (of and) on the NIDAQ pad. The Device configured green LED at the back of the device should now be on.
