GripAlyzeR™ 5.40 is used to conduct and record trials in an experiment, and to analyze, quantify and plot the results for data obtained with the gripper hardware. The software communicates with the Gripper IV Input Device through a DAQPad and the device interface to acquire force sensor data.

The force sensor data obtained from the Gripper IV are segmented based on the pulling force into an initial stable phase, a loading phase, a dis-engagement phase, and regaining stability phase. In healthy persons, grip and fulling forces increase linearly and proportionally. Departures suggest motor control problems.
