Processing- Consistency Checking

o Use absolute measures instead of relative measures: The stroke sequences defined by cursive script letters (e.g., e, l, i, t) in the condition definitions normally requires that successive strokes have qualitative differences. E.g., cursive letter 'l' must be larger than the immediately preceding cursive letter 'e'. By setting absolute measures, this requirement will be more stern in that any letter 'l' in the pattern should be larger than any letter 'e' in the pattern.

o Discard trial if more than the maximum number of strokes: The Condition definition prescribes an acceptable range of strokes. If there mare more strokes than the maximum, the extra strokes are removed by default. However, one can choose to discard the whole trial if it contains more than the maximum number of strokes.

o Remove Initial downstroke: If the initial stroke is a downstroke, it is removed by default so that all patterns start with an upstroke. This can be suppressed by unchecking this option.

o Discard trial if first stroke starts within the reaction time: If the stroke starts within a reaction time, then the trial is discarded. See Advanced to set reaction time.

o Discard trial if reaction time < Min. reaction time: If the stroke starts within the specified Min. reaction time (s), then the trial is discarded.

o Discard trial if reaction time > Max. reaction time: If the stroke starts beyond the specified Max. reaction time (s), then the trial is discarded.
